Get StartedCOMMON QUESTIONS
What you need to know.
How does setting this up for my parent work?
Like sending a gift. You set their preferences, schedule, and dietary needs and handle payment. The chef shows up at their home. They never navigate a website.
Can you cook for low-sodium or blood-sugar needs?
Yes. Low-sodium and diabetic-friendly options are available today, and if their doctor set a plan you can share it and the chef cooks to it.
What about softer foods that are easier to chew?
Your chef can prepare softer, tender dishes. We're finalizing verified texture labels, so for now softer options are hand-selected rather than filtered.
Will they actually eat it?
That's the point. You tell us the dishes they've always loved and the chef cooks those, named and familiar.
I live far away. Can I still manage it?
Yes. You manage everything remotely and confirmations come to you, while the chef is there in person.
Is Livin a substitute for medical or in-home care?
No. Livin is a meal service, not a medical or home-care provider, and does not offer dysphagia-safe or medically appropriate texture support. Consult their care team about specific dietary or texture needs.
You can't cook for them every week. You can make sure someone does.
Your chef comes to you at the start of the week. Shopping, cooking, cleanup. Handled. Dinner tonight is already done.
She's eating well, even on the nights you can't be there.
